About Us - Registry Mindset

Mission Statement 

Registry Mindset is dedicated to creating and delivering high quality continuing education programs for cancer registrars and healthcare professionals worldwide!

Our Beginnings

The idea for this website and service came from an informal conversation between a small group of cancer registrars one sunny afternoon in south Orange County, California.  Our conversation that day was fueled by talk about the availability, or lack thereof, of high quality, low cost continuing education programs focusing on the needs of the cancer registrar.  With a little planning and a lot of effort we are pleased to bring you this exciting new service!

 

 

About Our Services and Programs 

Registry Mindset is a membership-based service that offers monthly continuing education courses eligible for National Cancer Registrar's Association CE credits along with a number of free member-only services and programs.  For one very low and affordable monthly fee you could earn as many as 8-12 CE credits each year plus have access to many other free services and cancer registry resources! 

 

About the Author

Michele Webb, a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) with over 20 years of work experience in oncology and healthcare including cancer registry and clinical research, designed and maintains this website.  In addition to her years of hands-on work experience she is active in the National Cancer Registrar's Association as a Contributing Editor for the Journal of Registry Management and has served on several NCRA committee's as member, co-chair and chairperson.  She has also written a number of articles that have been published in the ADVANCE for HIM. 

 

She is an accomplished public speaker and has delivered many presentations to local, regional and national professional groups in cancer registry clinical trials, and health information management.  Michele is dedicated to promoting the professionalism and advocacy of cancer registrars worldwide.  While many learning opportunities exist for cancer registry training related to abstracting, coding and staging of disease, there are not as many opportunities available for practical and affordable clinical and operational skills.  To address these needs specifically, she has created Registry Mindset
